The Commandment reads: "REMEMBER the Sabbath day to KEEP IT HOLY. Six days shalt thou labour and do all thy work, but THE SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH OF THE LORD THY GOD: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: for IN SIX DAYS THE LORD MADE THE HEAVEN AND EARTH, THE SEA, AND ALL THAT IN THEM IS, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it." (Ex.20:8-11)

The "Sabbath" and the "idolatry" Commandment are the two longest of the Ten.

The Sabbath Commandment "REMEMBERS" what the nations of the world have FORGOTTEN, because THE WORLD HAS FAILED TO REMEMBER IT -- CREATION!!!

The world has forsaken God's Commandment to Remember Creation, forgotten its Creator... and teaches EVOLUTION in its stead; that we are a monumental cosmic accident in an accidental universe.

Many things enter into the "importance" of remembering creation... but, perhaps the most important thing the world has "lost" in its forgetfulness is the value of each and every priceless human life.

In teaching evolution instead of creation [remembering the Sabbath day]... man, who was created in God's image, forgets his infinite potential to be born into God's Family and to one day enter into the coming Kingdom of God [the House of their Father] as His Children... and they don't know of their eternal INHERITANCE OF THE UNIVERSE, which they will share with God's Firstborn Son and with one another.

"...WE ARE THE CHILDREN OF GOD: and if Children, then HEIRS; HEIRS OF GOD, and JOINT-HEIRS WITH CHRIST..." (Rom.8:16-17).

"God [the Father]... hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, WHOM HE HATH APPOINTED HEIR OF ALL THINGS [all things includes the universe], by whom also He made the worlds..." (Heb.1:1-2).

"He that overcometh SHALL INHERIT ALL THINGS; and I will be his God, and HE SHALL BE MY SON." (Rev.21:7)

In our failure to remember creation and our Creator... life is rendered a cheap commodity... not precious and priceless. Man, who is created in God's image, is relegated to a mere animal. Lower than animals, by some "forgetful" men's standards.

The importance of "remembering" creation and our Creator [resting on the day of the week God commands us, to keep it holy, which would in turn sanctify man and set him apart for God's holy purpose] is that in forgetting it... the cheapening of human life in the world has resulted in -- this vile world man has created in his image.

What day is the beginning of the week?

For me it has always been Monday. But for many people it is Sunday. Have never heard of an 'official' starting day, it varies. According to the Bible God created the world and rested on the seventh day. The western religions take that as Sunday, So then Monday should be when Gods working week started. In the Jewish religion Saturday is the day of rest, so then Sunday would be the strart of Gods working week.
