The Native Americans are the general terms given to the indigenous peoples of North America. They are divided into distinct tribes and ethnic groups, based on their own legends and beliefs. The European colonial period was a great period of conflict for Native Americans, seeing as Europeans came across the Atlantic and began to settle on land that originally had been inhabited only by the Native Americans. As more and more settlers arrived, the Native Americans were driven west, away from the Atlantic coast as more and more land were "bought" as more peope came. A lot of conflicts arose as some tribes were driven to the edge of their native lands and then refused to leave. In the end, Native Americans began to flee for the north, seeing that they were no longer wanted there in the United States. There were several very famous battles that occurred and surround this very issue of settlers. Today, Native Americans have a very special relationship with the United States government. Most of the Native Americans came back from the north after having been driven out, because the United States offered them parts of their land back in return for just living together in peace. These parts of the land that were returned to them, and often, they weren't even their original land, were called reserves. There are hundreds of reserves located all over the United States - these were lands specially set aside by the United States government where their law wouldn't be of any influence. In the reserves, only the Native American's traditional laws have any effect, as it is their land. And as part of the treaty that the had signed, this is completely legal.
New technology and the slaughtering of many native American tribes played a large role in the downfall of Native American Traditions.
The fastest way is to make a dramatic drop to your caloric intake. Lowering it to about 1100 per day should allow you to drop at least two or three pounds per week.

Their urban growth was the result of volcanic eruptions. There weren't any explosions in N. America that forced this, so they had no reason to urbanize. (I had to answer the same question for AP World History. Hang in there!)
I think that there are some members of the First Nations who might dispute your assertion that there are no ancient North American civilizations, however, in the sense that a civilization requires cities by definition, you are correct. The ancient population of North America lived a hunter-gatherer type of lifestyle, and that does not work well with cities. They were happy with what they had, and saw no reason to change it.
Yes it did. In fact a odd reason made the migration patterns get shaped in a V square oval dectagon etc
Many different Indian cultures developed in the Americas in the years after they were first peopled. These Indian civilizations had many similarities, and also many key differences. Many of the countless tribes built amazingly sophisticated civilizations, and these sophisticated cultures were all centered around corn. The development of agriculture was a key reason that the Native American tribes grew large and sophisticated. Maize, the Native American corn, was the staple crop of most Indian cultures, and the people built their lives around growing corn. The civilizations, however, also had important differences. For example, the Pueblo peoples in the southwest built multistoried, terraced buildings to live in. Also, they developed a highly elaborate society, one that was incomparable to any other Indian society in America. The Creek, Choctaw, and Cherokee used three sister farming to retain soil moisture, which allowed their population to expand. The Iroquois developed the political skills to maintain control over their neighbors, Europeans included, for many years. Mostly, the native people of America lived in small, scattered societies, which is the reason for their fairly easy demise by European explorers.
Due to the climate and landscape in many areas of North America, Native American populations were able to move around and not worry about drought or a lack of food. For this reason, you will not find many large kingdoms or empires in North America like you would with the Olmecs, Mayans, and Aztecs in Central America and the Inca South America.
Their color/ they were there before anyone else in America

scarcity of native indian labor
im assuming that that question is sincere and not raciest in any way, but the fact that there native AMERICANS should be reason enough to seek employment in AMERICA
They were nomadic and came across a land bridge in the Bering Strait on their search for food.
No, Native Americans are from tribes like the Cherokees and other tribes. They originated in America. Indians are from the country India, and are a whole other group of people from the Native Americans. The reason why Native Americans are sometimes referred to as Indians is because, when Christopher Columbus was sailing to India, he accidentally ended up in North America where he called all the Native Americans, Indians.

Because they are classed as a nuisance brought in from America. They killed off our native red squirrels which also adds to the reason.
the reason many ancient civilizations believed in gods was because they really didn't have much reason for many occurrences. If their was a hurricane or a volcanic eruption, it was because they thought the gods were mad at them. Having gods gave them a reason for things that at the time they couldn't explain.
Nutrias are not native to most of the places that they live today in America. For this reason, they are affecting animals by eating their food source, as well as destroying their habitats.
