The Native Americans went to war against the United States in the late 1800's because the United States kept making them move place to place and then the US tried to take their land completely. The US started off trying to negotiate a price for the land and the Indian Chief refused. So the United States attacked the Native Americans.
The Native Americans won. And the United States lost every soldier that fought in that battle.

∙ 11y agoAlmost all native American groups were warrior societies, with the men only able to gain respect, prestige, fame and a wife by performing brave deeds in battle. For battle you need to be at war with another group.
Native groups were fighting each other long before white people arrived and they continued to fight each other long after 1492. War was their way of life until the reservation era or "civilising influences" ended it.
