The diet of the rich in medieval times focused heavily on animal proteins. While common people ate cereal grains, legumes, and vegetables accompanied with small amounts of meat on occasion, the rich ate elaborate meals of multiple courses, and would eat meat or fish on a daily basis.
Medieval food in general tended to be cooked at a fire rather than on a stove or oven, so the cooking techniques favored stewing/boiling, and spit roasting. Many dishes were in the form of soups, stews, pottage, and porridge, and when not cooked in such a form meat was most often spit roast over a fire. Vegetable dishes and bread were also consumed by the upper classes, but they were generally supplemental to the diet, where in the case of common people they were the mainstay. All social classes consumed ale as a daily food, and the wealthy could afford wine as well.
At a formal meal among the upper classes a thick piece of bread (sometimes stale) would be cut by a servant and laid on the diner's plate. This bread, known as a trencher, served as a base on which other dishes were placed, and would absorb juices and sauces over the course of the meal. The trencher was sometimes eaten, but in other cases they were collected after a meal and given to the poor to eat.
The people in the renaisance were tired of the views and the ideas of the medieval time, and thought the medieval people had a pessimistic view on things.

The rich could afford chess sets. The poor mostly had little time to play, they worked too hard.
Both
When we think about merchants we always imagine rich people. And rich people love playing big-hitter games like cards or chess. A long time ago, all these games were hand-painted and hand-crafted, making it even more expensive. Medieval merchants might also enjoy playing instruments like the flute or fide. They might also enjoy betting on horse races or other sports.
During the time of Jesus, rich people would have eaten a variety of foods such as bread, fish, meat, fruits, and vegetables. They may have also enjoyed more luxurious items like honey, wine, and imported spices. Their diet would have varied depending on their region and personal preferences.
Watch people getting killed, and get painted, sometimes at the same time! :)
they had high education
The rich and powerful did; most others did not.

The majority of them ate at a table just like you do. Rich people would have a nicer one than poor people, with fancy tablecloths and nice dishes. Poor people would have wooden dishes.

In Medieval times only the rich could afford health care. At this time in the world no one really knew what caused illness. Some believed it was the stars and planets, some believed it was bad smells, some believed prayers and meditation would be a cure, some used herbs and bleeding. Health care for the rich was not much improved over the poor.
