Guru Nanak (Dev ji) was the core finder of Sikhism he didn't understand the Hindu ways in which he was brought up in. So he decided to follow only one god... He already had broken the rules of having Muslim friends in which his parents weren't happy about. He was expelled from school because he cared more about god and praying to him than learning. He was very spiritual and loved god very much. After a little while people started to see he was different and he eventually became a guru and called guru Nanak he is the founder of Sikhism ......

Guru Gobind Singh is most famous for starting the Khalsa in 1699.

The Khalsa were a Sikh community of faithful men who wore visable symbols of their faith and trained as warriors.

Guru Gobind Singh asked for the 5 bravest men to show their loyalty to Sikhism, and these men became the first ever members of the Khalsa.

Guru Nanak was the founder of Sikhism and the first of the 10 Guru's. In 1496 Guru Nanak was his talk with God and he started on his mission. His first statement after his prophetic communion with God was (translated to English) It means love your neighbour as yourself. In addition, it emphasised, simultaneously the inalienable spirituo-moral combination of his message. Accompanied by Mardana, he began his missionary tours. Apart from conveying his message and helping the weak, he passionately preached, both by precept and practice. He was against caste distinctions ritualism and idol worship. He chose to socially mix with all. He dined and lived with men of the lowest castes and classes to prove that we are all equal men, women, children and people of lower castes.
