One of the most common punishments was to be whipped or beaten but this only happen to the lower class the most uncommon was probably being dunked in a lake because this is a big misconception and only happen rarely.

well execution was one of the more popular sorts of punishment, but many other types were used like

  • hanging
  • crushing - yes people did get crushed as a manner of execution!-
  • boiled alive
  • burned at stake

there were many other types of punishment that weren't " death "
