In June 1992, VIACOM International Media Networks Group, LLC., launched a 24-hour cable/satellite TV network named, "Nickelodeon Games & Sports for Kids", which was commonly nicknamed and referred to as, "Nick GaS".

On February 2, 1999, VIACOM replaced "Nickelodeon Games & Sports for Kids" (Nick GaS) on all cable and satellite TV networks nationwide with a new daytime TV network named, "Noggin". On April 1, 2002, "Noggin" began changing to "The N" during the overnight hours broadcasting TV programs aimed towards tweens (10-12) and teenagers (ages 13-21).

On September 28, 2009, "Noggin/The N" changed its programming completely and re-branded itself as the present-day "TeenNick", which is available on all cable and satellite TV providers across the United States of America. TeenNick broadcasts television programs aimed towards tweens (10-12) and teenagers (ages 13-21).
