After being rejected of a proposal to the Spice Islands, or Moluccas, he studied astronomys for two years. during this time he met a man named Ruy Faleiro who also studied astronomy along with geography. During there studies, they recorded that the spice islands actually lied in Spain's territory which meant it was rightfully Spain's. From there, Magellan traveled to Spain and proposed the same idea this time to king Charles of Spain. u know the rest from there
