The Mariner 10 space probe was the last spacecraft in the Mariner program, and launched on 3 November 1973. Its mission was to measure the atmospheric, surface, and physical characteristics of Mercury and Venus. After taking some 4000 photographs of Venus, Mariner 10 then flew by Mercury, taking the first photographs detailed enough to reveal the planet's cratered surface and a faint atmosphere of predominantly helium.
The average age of the surface of Venus has been determined primarily from the Magellan mission.
All exploration of Venus to date has been by unmanned space probes.Mariner 2 was the first NASA probe to flyby Venus in 1962, followed by Mariner 5 in 1967 and Mariner 10 in 1973 . There were many Soviet missions to the planet in the 1970s and 1980s, some of which landed probes there.Pioneer Venus 1 orbited the planet from 1978 to 1992, mapping the surface, while Pioneer Venus 2, also launched in 1978, sent four probes into the atmosphere. The Magellan mission (1989-1994) mapped and studied the surface from orbit. The MESSENGER mission to Mercury (2004-2012) made two fly-bys of Venus, in 2006 and 2007.
to disrupt the airbase mission operations
Venera 9 [See Link] was a Russian unmanned mission to Venus. It was the first probe to send back images from Venus. It was also the first to send back pictures from the surface of another planet. Venera 10 followed Venera 9 three days later, sending more images of Venus.
The purpose of a mission was to colonize new land.
No human being has ever been launched on a mission to Venus, and no such mission is planned or scheduled.
What is the purpose of Mission Santa Clara De Asis

A mission statement is a statement of purpose written by the founders of a company. There is no publicly published mission statement for Wikipedia .
What purpose or function does a mission statement have in an organization?
Last one was 2007. See http://www.planetary.org/explore/topics/venus/missions.html

James Cook's original mission was to observe the transit of Venus from the vantage point of Tahiti.
The question does not make sense. "Mission" - "seen" ?? Please restate the question.
the cassini space crafts mission was too orbit venus and then observe saturns moons
It was a Spanish Mission.
