2 reasons. The first reason is because some Germans didn't want to be a part of the things that were going on at the time, (my great-grand parents) and the second reason is some Germans didn't want to live in the fear of being accused a Jew. A lot of them migrated so they didnt have to live in the fear of the Nazis.
