A man would marry a woman for political reasons and may well fall in love with her after living together and raising children but usually his love would in another woman, usually a professional prostitute essentially. Ancient Greece was not a unified country. It was a bunch of city-states, so they considered themselves their own country's you could say. They were always in wars with each other.
Anyways, the Persians were their enemies they hated each other. The Romans were eventually their enemy and took them over. As well as they were enemies with Thrace. They also had trade relations all over the water ways and with African civilizations.
The relationship between men was laughter and happiness. Men mostly talked about how their wives are at home doing everything.
The social structure of ancient Greece was basically split between free men and slaves. The slaves had absolutely no rights, and neither did women or children.

I've recently done a project on Ancient Greece and I've learn that there are more similarities and differences there than Ancient Greece being BC and Australia being AD.
