Buddhism is not a religion. It is a culture of the mind. It is an education where you are to explore the mind to understand Nature. Unlike a religion where there are commandments to obey, Buddhism encourarage you to "come and experience". Every thing in the universe is gorverned by the Laws of Nature; Buddhism show you the path to return one being to the true Nature by rightly understand the true nature of existence in order to liberate from mental and physically Suffering.

ANSWER 2:

Buddhism IS the name of the religion. While most of what has been written above is correct, a religion is defined as having clergy and holy scriptures, both of which are found in Buddhism.
