The King of Saudi Arabia can be considered a practically absolute ruler of his country. There is no Parliament with independent powers, only a "Consultative Assembly" that can give opinions or advice, but it's up to the King to decide what use to make of them.
He is the head of the family. Provides for them and he is the leader of the family.
