the significance of history is to review the past
The significance of Roanoke VA in American History is small compared to other history times, though there is a small part of history in the city. The supposed group of people who lived in the colony in 1885 to 1887 had all up and left for some reason or just disappeared. This is known now as "The Lost Colony".

U.S. history is just that... history. You learn about U.S. history in U.s. history. American gov. is more about learning about the American legal and political systems. There should be some history in that class but it's more politics-oriented.
