An adult Smilodon wouldn't have had any predators. It would have had some competition, though, from flat faced bears and American lions. The cubs, though, were vulnerable to attack by a wide range of animals.

The genus for the many species of saber-toothed tigers is Smilodon. Smilodon Fatalis is the most commonly known variety of the genus.
They are supposedly extinct. the big cars had saber ( also spelled Sabre) like teeth for hunting and eating meat. ALL cats are carnivorous, but some will eat grass as a sort of laxative for indigestion, such is their animal instinct.
