Curtains were used to keep water from getting on the bathroom floor when you take a shower
Before Set stages or theatres plays were normally preformed in pubs and such or large outdoor spaces. Play's were preformed durng the day to make use of natural sunlight. The Theater, the Curtain, the Hope, and the Swan all preceded the building of the Globe.
No, the plays were performed in immense amphitheaters in broad daylight. There was no front curtain. The chorus would sing and dance between the scenes to show the passage of time.
Elizabethan theater involved several theater companies of actors and playwrights. In London the globe theater was in use and Shakespeare was performing his works. There were no female actresses during Elizabethan times, instead young teenage boys would play female roles.
The best material to use for theatre curtains would be a heavy and dark material. Traditionally, velvet was often used because of it's ability to block light that creates shadows behind the curtains.
People in the theatre world tend to spell it "theatre" and those who are not spell it "theater." The basic difference as it was explained to me by one of my theatre professors in college is: Theatre is the art form and Theater is the building. Example- I am going to the Kodak Theater to see a theatre performance. Also, theatre is the (British) English spelling of the word theater.
The theater's intendant was primarily concerned with financing plays.
Clearance curtains have the same use as normal curtains, which is to cover windows. The main difference is that clearance curtains are sold at clearance sales.
I was watching a movie. And suddenly curtains opened.
The curtains provide attractive sound deadening so that it doesn't echo in the theater. Some theaters just use other sound absorbing methods but the curtains are something of a hold-over from the older theaters where plays and concerts were performed in the past and have a nice appearance.
Curtains are used to cover windows, decorations, and for table cloth
use permanent performance spaces.
Bambo curtains are great and hold up well.
It is not recommended as the curtains will become moist and may mold.
Thicker curtains made by anyone work really well, to go under the curtains to block out the majority of the sun you want to use a black out shade instead of a mini blind.
just use bleach
