Peter Van Pels was a boy who lived in "the secret annex" with Anne Frank and her family. Van Pels' father was Hermann Van Pels. He worked with Anne's father, so that was why the Franks' brought the Van Pels with them into their hiding place.
She and her family were being hidden in several rooms above the work place of Otto Frank. the franks had helpers which help keeping no one to find out. they put a bookcase buy the upstaris door so nobody will no their is a another floor.
well if you look at it one way, ww1 did 'cause everyone blamed Germany for the damage of ww1 and they had to pay 33 billion dollars for the damage so they just printed off money which was a big mistake. Then a huge stack of franks (money in Germany) was really like a dollar here. So people were going into a more deep depression than we did in the great depression. Later when every one was starving, Adolf Hitler came around and told everyone that he could help them and that the Jewish people caused it. The only reason people beleived him was that they were starving. Hope this helps.
The battle between the Muslims and the Franks was called the Battle of Tours.

no Muslims won the battle of the tours! it was the franks that won. if the Muslims won than most of Germanywould be Muslim!
It prevented Islam from becoming a dominant religion in Northern Europe and allowed Christianity a fighting chance.
Remember this saying, "In 732 at the battle of Tours, Charles Martel defeated the Moors." He was king of the Franks.
The Battle of Tours was fought on October 10th, 732. The battle was fought in an area between the French cities of Tours and Poitiers. The Franks emerged victorious over the advancing Muslims (who were pushing across Western Europe to Spain). The battle ceased any further movement west.
Because when they tried to advance beyond Spain, they were defeated in the Battle of Tours in 732 by the Franks under King Charles 'Martel' (meaning the 'Battle hammer').
