Natural elements like wind and rain
Gravel is made by crushing rock and sorting the result into different sizes, generally by screening. Your pea gravel is one of the screening products. There are several rock-crushing systems, and these give a different range of sizes in the product. There are hammer mills, rod mills, 'rod and cone' mills, and so on. A gravel producer would choose his process according to need. In many parts of the country, merely sorting the river gravels will be a suitable process - provided the source rocks are themselves suitable.
It's called erosion. Water carries Minerals away and it erodes the rock over millions of years. The Grand Canyon Was eroded by glaciers. The four agents of erosion are: Water,glaciers,wind,and...I forgot. Hope that helps!
You can find the volume of a small rock in no time at all. Just fill up a container that is marked by volume with water and record the volume. Then drop the small rock inside the container. Record the new volume. Find the difference between the new and old volumes. This is the volume of the small rock. You could do this in any liquid.
Use grams as the base unit and depending on the size of the rock, grams or deckagrams for a pebble, a small rock hectograms for a rock, and kilograms for a little bigger rock (but still small). The point is to use grams as your base unit.
cement, sand, water, aggregate(small stones) or sometimes crushed rock etc..
Sedimentary rocks are formed from the rock fragments that are made when a rock is eroed. Theese rock fragments are transported (carried away) from the rock face, usually by streams or rivers. As they are transported by the water, the rock fragments knock against each other and wear away. When they become very small they are called grains
Erosion occurs when a rock is carried away from where it was weathered. It makes the rock fragments rounded and small.
erosion
Increased time of abrasion affects rock fragments by taking the fragments away over time. The rock will eventually decrease in size.
The rock cycle.
Clastic sedimentary rock.
No:Weathering is the wearing away/breaking down of rock into fragments IN SITUErosion is the wearing AND TAKING AWAY of materialAlso note that the transportation of fragments is just transportation, so don't bother searching for a fancy term for it.
water
erosion
no it's not carried away by moving water
It washes away dirt and rock, causing erosion.
The movement of rock fragments is called erosion.
