Each member of the Black Hand Gang were equipped with 6-shot revolvers for close-range assassination. Certain members were also equipped with grenades, which were disguised in ordinary everyday objects such as books to avoid arousing suspicion- this included Gavrilo Princip, the militant who shot dead Archduke Franz Ferdinand.
