For a 2002 Kia Sportage the recommended oil to be used is a 10W-30. Most vehicles use this weight of oil. Depending on the climate it is best to stick with the recommended oil weight for your vehicle.

just take out 3 screws from the fan and unplug it. take blower out of housing and replace, should only take about 20 minutes.

You have to take the tire off and go in from there.
It is under the passenger side of the dash just take out three screws holding the motor in and unplug the motor you may have to unplug one or two other plugs so they are not in your way but it should just come out with a little bit of wiggling.
