i have an 85 xt350.
yamalube 4-stroke 10w-40 (not sythetic)
10w means it doesn't have cold shifting problems
40 means that after the oil heats up, it is like 40 weight oil so the gears in the tranny have plenty of oil between them.
20w50 made the shifting too hard
The Clymer calls for either 20w40 or 10w30 yamalube but they don't make those anymore.
Cheers - Jeff
The type of oil being used in a Yamaha 350 series ATV depends on the temperature where the vehicle is kept. For colder areas 5w-40 oil is preferred, but for hotter temperatures 10w-40 is better.
The 2006 Yamaha Raptor 350 has a dry weight of 375 lbs./170.1 kg. For an oil change without replacing the oil filter element, the amount is 84.5 US oz. (2.5 liters). With the replacement, the amount is 88 US oz. (2.6 liters).
10w30 will be fine
What oil weight does a 2001 yamaha raptor 660r use
The oil capacity for Yamaha motorcycles vary depending on the model and year of the bike. The 350 Yamaha warrior holds 2.64 courts of oil.
1300ml
its 2.5 quarts.
Engine oil is 10w 40
the manufacture specified oil weight is 20/40. i use only Yamaha oil as it is designed for Yamaha products.
2 ltr
A good grade synthetic oil can be used in a 97 Yamaha XT350. 10-40 should be used instead of 20-50 as the thicker oil does not pump up well cold.
1.8 quarts
