1. Americans were fighting on their own soil and thus knew the land better than any british soldier could.
2. French involvement/help as the French military was superior than the Continental army and equal match for the British troops
3. Britain was ultimately fighting a war far from home and was not nearly as able to get goods as the Americans were. Due to American trade boycotts the colonists were now making their own goods, not just producing raw materials for the Empire so Americans could more readily replenish their goods (although goods were still scarce because there was no way the colonial gov could tax the people to fuel the war effort and thus could not raise revenue) But ultimately the British were just fighting a war that was thousands of miles from home and terrain they did not know and were unable to get goods sent to them fast enough.
WHAT UP The Colonists won their independence from Britain, they won One War. then were like tatatatata we will win the we brought a robot and it said i shall kill you all that's how we won
I think you are referring to the Civil War in which the north won. In the American Revolution the sides were the colonies and Britain. The colonies won in that war.
There is no French vs. American revolution. But the French and Indian war was won by the British colonies in America all with the help of Britain. This then led to the "taxation without representation" of the colonies and the American revolution.
The British.
The British defeat at the Battle of Saratoga showed them that it could be won. Anything that weakened the English gave new hope to the French that the UK could be defeated in Europe.
the British surrendered
The American Colonists won.
The Colonists won their independence from Great Britain.
The colonists would have tried again later.
America was first discovered by Europeans in the 1600s, and they (primarily England) began to populate the country with colonists. These colonists eventually decided to separate from England, and the American Revolution resulted. The colonists won the Revolution, and the United States of America was formed.
American colonists won with the help of France.
The colonists won it but it is important because that was one of the battles that led up to the American Revolution.

At first the American Colonists wanted their freedom and independence from England. Then, after the Colonists won the Battle of Saratoga, France joined them and helped them to defeat the British. The victory of the Colonists was one of the factors that led the French people to revolt and against their king, and led to many other revolutions against monarchies and other rulers.
The American Revolution came first. King Louis XV who was the King in France (the one that was overthrown and sent to the guillotine during the french revolution) actually gave money to help the American cause. The Americans could not have won the war if they had not received financial & political support from France.
