Aphrodite's powers were love. She was the only god/goddess who had powers. She could influence almost all events in mythology history because she could change the feelings in the heart. She could also use her powers to punish people by making someone in their family or someone ugly fall in love with them. Her power came from her girdle made by hephaestus (roman name Vulcan) when he found out that they were getting married. The girdle made all men fall in love with her.
