Franklin Delano Roosevelt used the best medium at his disposal at the time which was the radio to communicate directly to we the people in our own homes with his fireside chats. He is known to have conducted 30 such chats with the American people from 1933 to 1944. They were not conducted on a regular basis, but during the years of his presidency his 30 address were scattered as follows:
