they helped them by trading furs and riches. But, the Henry Hudson's crew deceived them and stole everything they could from the natives before traveling south. Henry did not care all he cared about was to find a northeast passage to Asia.
I don't know much but he ended up marrying the daughter of the Cree chief. My great grandma, Thelma Kelsey (now Thelma Goff), tells me that he was her great uncle.
