Children did not work in the camps.
They kept people, like in a prison. Those inmates would work, if useful work was not around, then they would do pointless work (like digging a hole, then filling it in and repeat).
"Oberkapo" as i understand it was a trusted prisoner in Nazi concentration camps in WW2. This was a prisoner chosen to be in charge of huts or work parties.
