∙ 10y agoThere were lots of rebels which could team up and fight against him, he didn't speak English, He still needed to protect Normandy, there could be another invasion from the vikings, there were a group of English knights in Dover castle who could attack him and he need to organise a coronation. He needed to get to London first and become King so he could soon do a survey to find out how much England was worth. Also, his army was probably tired and worn out.
