The Caddos were known for several things. Their leatherwork was legendary in the region. During trade festivals tribes would come from all over to obtain their leather goods. This was a bit unusual because the leather was tanned to a prized black. They also were known for their pottery which was considered to be among the finest around in terms of form, design and creation.
