The technique of the kamikaze was to crash their plane into their target. So they were on suicide missions. This technique was very successful in the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor.
The mission of kamikaze pilots was to sink or damage Allied aircraft carriers and capital ships
A kamikaze was a Japanese pilot who would crash his plane into US Warships. It was a suicide mission of course, but they felt like they had to do whatever they could to win.
They were called 'kamikaze' pilots. Their mission was solely intended as a suicidal action.
The Japanese military leaders were desperate to stop American invasion fleets beginning in 1944. Conventional air attacks by the Japanese Army & Navy units had suffered heavy casualties in air attacks on the US Navy ships that had very effective Anti-Aircraft weapons. By 1944, the Japanese were suffering heavy losses with few hits on the US ships. The Japanese had long-practiced military suicide attacks in ground combat, and now the Kamikaze suicide mission was the next logical (or emotional) step in the evolution of Japanese tactics in the face of a very dire situation.
The Kamikaze pilot flew his plane into US ships on a suicide mission .
There were numerous instances of Kamikaze pilots returning to base. This allowed them to try again when there were better opportunities.
I believe the word you're thinking of is actually 'kamikaze'. What is a 'kamikaze'? During World War 2, the Japanese formed a group of men that were to crash their planes into ships carrying supplies for other countries. It was a suicide attack mission. They are remembered as 'kamikazes'.

I don't honestly know but it was to please their emperor on a suicidal mission
Well, they were pretty much suicide pilots... Their main mission was to kill whoever was on whatever country they were trying to destroy
Because they didn't fear death, there mission was to crash after using all of their ammunition. When they did crash they directed it towards military targets. (example: they crashed into the military base in Hawaii. Destroying ships and killing many soldiers)
Kamikaze! They sacrificed themselves for their country's sake. They knew it was a suicide mission but they still did it. They would rather sacrifice themselves than do nothing, and that shows honor and courage!
