Robespierre major accomplishment (if you can call it that) was the reign of terror. He was the main leader of the Jacobin Dictatorship, he was elected to the Committee of Public Safety in 1793 and finally, he was elected President of the Convention in 1794.

Eventually he was executed by the guillotine he himself had send thousands of innocent people to, including the royal family (who were not to blame for France's bankruptcy, Louis XIV was for having built Versailles!).

Robespierre was a very evil man.
