This is a rather vague question, but cars were chiefly made of steel and cast iron in the 60s. At this time, aluminum was rare in automobile construction, so body panels were still steel, and strucutral elements of the cars were definitely steel. Nowadays, more exotic frame and body materials are in use such as carbon fiber and even plastics. Aluminum is very common in car construction nowadays, too.
Also in the 60s, engine blocks were still largely cast iron. Whereas nowadays aluminum engine blocks are most common among vehicles, back then cast iron was still the most predominant material in engine construction.
As far as interior materials, plastics were just becoming popular for automobile interiors, but they were not near the current level of plastic construction in cars.
