There were very few communal ceremonies or celebrations among the Comanche; most were for individuals, such as a young man's "vision seeking" ritual when he would seek a powerful spirit vision in some remote spot, fasting and thirsting for several days. There was absolutely nothing that equates to birthdays, Christmas or Easter among white Europeans.
There was a Beaver Ceremony (also known as "Big Tail Medicine") and an Eagle Dance, but the Comanche never adopted the Sun Dance ritual of other Plains tribes. The Beaver Ceremony was mainly used for healing a sick person.
Simple customs such as offering a small portion of food about to be eaten to the spirits were very common; warriors "sunned" their shields while in camp by hanging them on a spear stuck into the ground - thereby increasing the supernatural protective power of the shield; there was no marriage ceremony and people were free to marry within their own clan.
