THE SEVEN COMMANDMENTS
1. Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy.
2. Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend.
3. No animal shall wear clothes.
4. No animal shall sleep in a bed.
5. No animal shall drink alcohol.
6. No animal shall kill any other animal.
7. All animals are equal.
Old major said that all animals are equal and that the animals should never act like humans. Basically, snowball broke them down into seven commandments all saying that all animals are equal and that they should never act like their enemies, humans. Napoleon just changed everything that old major said.
The ten commandments is found in the book of Exodus chapter 20 verse 20 and Deuteronomy 5.
Exodus. However, the commandments (without the surrounding story) are reiterated in Deuteronomy.
This chapter is when Old Major claims he has a dream, and gets all of the animals together to hear it. He says he will tell them the dream later, and he actually explains what humans are doing to them. He uses propaganda, and gets the animals all ready to start the revolution.
It gives them laws to live by.

C1 places animals in perpetual conflict with humans and does not allow for humans who sympathise with animals rights and needs. C2 assumes all animals are good and does not allow for animals who make trouble. C3 and C4 clothes and beds are not 'wrong' they just represent human activity. Why shouldn't an animal wear a coat to keep warm?
