Hmm... I can't really say, but I THINK that the Atom bomb was so destructive because it broke down the scientific makeup of everything caught in the explosion *Note that I said I THINK* So, any survivors would probably die or at least become severely crippled due to deformation or even the breakdown of the various cells in the body, including the brain cells. The more brain cells in a human, the more mental capacity that human possesses. But since the atomic bomb killed these cells, that results in a loss of mental capacity, memory, or even basic motor skills such as hand-eye coordination.
