Major does't always mean body counts:Revolutionary War Battles included:The Battle of Brandywine. The Battle of Germantown. The Battle of White Marsh. The Battle of Matson's Ford.Civil war Battles included:The Cavalry Battle at Hanover which lacked a winner but involved two major names of American horse Cavalry (J.E,B Stuart and George Amstrong Custer.)The Battle of Gettysburg which may be considered the Mother of All Battles for Pennsylvania to date, just as it was the major battle of the United States until World I.The body count has little to do with importance as related to World History because:The Battle of Hastings killed about 8,000 and was important. The Battle of the Alamo killed 1,057 and was important. The Battle of Midway killed 3,364 people and was important. The Battle of Thermopylae may have killed 24,000 and was important. The Battle of Koan may have taken 130.000 and was important,The Battle of Iwo Jima killed 25,121 and was important. The Battle of Bunker Hill killed 341 and was important. The Battle of Pearl Harbor killed 2,471 and was important. The Battle of Little Big Horn killed 304 and was imporant. The Battle of Saratoga killed 530 and was important.Choose your era and select the battle of your choice.
