I believe that it is an argument that appears to be about what super hero can beat Superman, but in reality it is used as device to debate political issues. Issues such as Superman (USA) can be beat by...say...Aquaman(could be Iran, could be anybody). That is my understanding of it in a nut shell. I dont really get it. I understand it, but dont like this approach. I am more of a state it as it is and not beat around the bush kind of person. Anyway, I hope this helps some.

Ok I'm having the same problem but I'm resorting to the most general topic that can go either political, economical, or social. This topic being Prohibition. Since Prohibition is so widely oriented, it can be mistaken for another aspect. So I said it's political because, well, its a law. Last time I checked laws weren't used that often in social or economical aspects, unless the topic is BECAUSE of a law. Hope this helps!
