The Black Death was a specific outbreak of the Bubonic Plague that happened in Europe in about 1347 to 1352. I have read that it was prevented in certain walled towns where the people raised their drawbridges, closed their gates, and acted like they were under siege until it passed. In general, however, there was no prevention available, and it ran its course until it killed enough of the rats, fleas, and people that the density of potential victims was too low to support it. Today, the bubonic plague can be effectively treated with modern medicines.

During the Middle Ages, there was really no way of preventing the Black Death from spreading, because no one understood how it spread. Today, it can be treated with antibiotics.

Nothing because it will never stop, just may get a hole in it for a while until it spreads more. You cannot do it on your own but many people may figure out a solution for this plague, in the medieval times doctors thought the black death could be halted by strong scented medicine.

There is currently no commercially available vaccine for the Black Death (also referred to as Bubonic Plague). If you suspect you have Bubonic Plague you should contact a medical expert and they if diagnosed early enough can prescribe a antibiotic to cure you case of the plague.

Avoid breathing in germs when with a plague victim. So next to a blazing fire ( as the pope did right through the hit summer of 1348 ). Live in a house sheltered from the wind and keep the window closed (: that's as many as I know - ACF (: enjoy
