The main cons are that 135,000 of mostly civilians died as a result, and in particular, the second bomb was probably not even necessary. Lots of second guessing by people not having to live through the war is not really all that helpful, but it is good to reflect upon arguably bad decisions that have been made and to try not to repeat them.
