There was no such president. Namibia gained independence from South Africa in 1990, and Sam Nujoma was the first president of Namibia. Before him, Louis Pienaar was the Administrator-General of Namibia.

Namibia gained its independence from South Africa on March 21, 1990 after a battle from 1966 until 1988 to obtain their freedom. The next two years were spent establishing a peace plan and encouraging South Africa to withdraw.

The foundations for independence were laid by the Father of the Nation, former president Sam Nujoma in 1989. But Namibia officially gained it's independence from South Africa on 21 March 1990 and was called The Republic of Namibia.
