In World War I Australia fought with other countries but in World War II they were not part of the Allied Forces that conquered the Axis Forces.
Yes, they were. Especially at the onset of the war, when many countries had not yet achieved full mechanization of their forces.
The Lewis gun was used by German's American's, and the UK:-)
Training & covert ops.
I'm not aware of any special forces unit in the US that had a spade (or shovel) as part of their patch. The 1st Special Service Forces were a mixture of American and Canadian commandos who wore a RED arrowhead with USA and CANADA inscribed on it. I thought you might refer to the US Engineers. But their collar brass was a Castle. Germany had an organization that worked on defenses but they were not a special forces fighting unit.
MARSOC stands for the United States Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command. This group is the Marines' contribution to SOCOM special operations. Special Operations forces have been involved in operations around the world including the invasion of Panama, Somalia and the War on Terror.
The Allied forces.
Italy was part of the axis forces in World War 2. In World War 1 Italy and it's colonies were part of the Allies forces.
