There are several. It depends on engine size, transmission, etc. For example, a V-8 car with "highway gears" would have 2.73:1 ratio for a turbohydramatic automatic transmission and a 3.08:1 ratio for a manual transmission. However, if the car came equipped with a close ratio 4 speed or powerglide, it would most likely NOT have a gear ratio numerically lower than 3.31:1 due to drivability issues. ...
