Miracles were not required for declaring a person a saint in the early
years of Chrisitianity. The person would have been declared a saint by
popular acclamation to a bishop based on the lives and merits of the
candidate. This was especially true if the person died the death of a
martyr as it was felt that making this ultimate sacrifice for Our Lord
would be an automatic designation of that person as a saint.
Even today, miracles are not always a requirement for canonization,
especially in the case of martyrs.
It is siad, however, that St. Patrick brought three young boys back to life who had been murdered and stuffed into a barrel of brine.
St. Patrick became a saint by popular acclamation and approval of a local bishop long before the canonization process that requires miracles to prove the person is actually in Heaven was instituted.
St. Patrick is known for spreading Christianity in Ireland and is credited with using the three-leafed shamrock to explain the concept of the Holy Trinity. He is also believed to have performed miracles and baptized many people during his time as a missionary.
The Shamrock is a symbol of St. Patrick's Day because St. Patrick used it to show the Trinity or that god was three people.
There were many miracles ascribed to St. Patrick. Three of those miracles are bringing a horse back to life, converting people who hated him, and telling a group of starving sailors to believe in God after which a herd of pigs appeared.
I can find no saint by that name. Check your spelling.
The three miracles of Saint Clelia Barbieri are as follows. First, she had the gift of prophecy. Secondly, her prayers to St. Francis were answered in the form of food, and lastly, her voice is still heard in the chapel where she lived.
The Union flag has three symbols of three Christian patron saints;- St George, St Patrick and St Andrew.
Saint Patrick was declared a saint before the canonization process was instituted so miracles were not required for sainthood.
The official canonization process was not in place at the time that Patrick was declared a saint. No miracles were required.
St. George St. Andrew St. Patrick
Patrick used the shamrock to explain or illustrate the Blessed Trinity. One leaf, three parts: One God, three persons.
If St. George performed any miracles, there is no record of them.
