What were the two ways Allah tested ibrahim?

The whole life of Hazrat Ibraheem AS is full of test and turmoil. He was tested in many way. He had to face the most powerful king in the court. He put into the burning flames of fire. He stood dauntless and fearless. He had to flee from his native land with his wife. He was ordained by Almighty Allah to leave his wife, Hazrat Hajirah AS, and his baby son Hazrat Ismaieel AS in the uninhibited desert of Arabia without water. He had to get ready to sacrifice his son in the way of Almighty Allah. However, Hazrat Ismaiell was saved.

to his community:

• he broke their statues, proving that the statues where inept, not being able to protect themselves or speak by themselves.
• when he was throne to the fire, the fire by the will of Allah (SWT) was cool and safe for him, letting him come out unharmed in front of his people.

to the king who called himself god:

• he said to the king that Allah makes the sun rise from the east to the west, can the king make it rise the other way?

Almighty Allah tested Hazrat Ibrahim AS in many ways. The three most important ways were:

1. Hazrat Ibrahim AS was ordered to be thrown into a huge fire. He stood his ground and remained dauntless even when he was thrown into the fire.

2. He was ordered to leave his wife and son in deserted desert of Mecca where there was no food, no water, no shelter and no habitate. He did so.

3. He was ordered in his dream to sacrifice his only (till then) son Hazrat Ismaieel AS, a young child of about 8-10 years of age. He surrendered to the will of Almighty Allah. Though Almighty Allah saved his son from being slaughtered.

the first way Allah tested Ibraheem was by commanded him to go Makkah. the second test was when Allah asked him to sacrifice his son Ismaeel.
