There weren't any. The girls accused anyone and everyone. Even today we cannot connect all the accused and executed with even a single trait, other that they lived in the wrong county at the wrong time.

∙ 12y agoThere really aren't any. Unlike European witch hunts, in which something bd happened and people looked for a sacpegoat that fit the description of a witch. In Salem, the girls accused anyone. The common misconceptions are that if you didn't go to church, were on the outside of society or if you didn't agree with the Trials, you were accused. These are, however, easy to disprove.
Martha Corey alwasy went to church.
Rebbecca Nurse was well-respected and a large part of society. John Willard had been a well-like civil worker.
George Burroughs hadn't even heard about the Trials before he was arrested in Maine.

∙ 12y agoYou couldn't. There were no real witches in the Salem Witch Trials. They were just average people who were accused by girls believed to be bewitched. It was either their bad luck they were accused or at least on of the girls had a reason to accuse you.

It stated that your fate in the afterlife was predetermined and that you should constantly be looking for signs that the Lord has blessed your life. Being successful in business or having a good standing in the community would have been signs that you were favored by God, and so less likely to be influenced by evil. Additionally, women were considered to be especially more susceptible to the motives of the Devil as supposedly proven in Genesis when it is Eve who persuades Adam to eat the apple.
