Well, the bike is tuned for 87 octane, and it runs well. If you use 91 or better, it really won't go any faster, just that the engine will run cleaner, and possibly smoother. If you want more performance, then you would have to adjust the timing. BUT, with the price of fuel, and if you drive a lot, better just to leave it as is. A tank here or there of 91 is good to do though.

What year bike? I use 87 in mine and I've looked into it like you are and everywhere I checked said 87 is the grade to go with.
The oil capacity for the GR650 Tempter is 2.8L.
Standard, regular, normal, basic fuel. 87 octane in the States, or 91 in Australia. If you use premium you are wasting your money.
check the fuel air ratio, also check the choke settings.
