the second time he caught the roadrunner he had him by the neck I believe and then had a change of heart(i'm sure he knew that it was merely the thrill of the chase for those two. after all who were they without one another?) and simply let him go, much to the bewilderment of the roadrunner.

∙ 11y agoIn the real world, a coyote is a predator who catches and eats smaller animals such as a roadrunner; this is realistic, but not particularly funny. The joke in the cartoon is that no matter to what extremes the obsessed coyote goes, he always fails. That is (to some extent) funny. Not as funny as The Simpsons, but somewhat funny.
