Short in the wiring system, bad sensor bulb, bad fan motor... need to have a NexIQ box hooked up to the ECM and run a diagnostic.
p0128-- coolant temperature below thermotat regulating temperature---change thermostat first, and make sure coolant is ok!! then if it does not work. change coolant temperature sensor.
Yes. The coolant carries the engine heat to the heater core. Without coolant the heater core does not get warm.
if the pump and thermostat have been replaced on a 2001 malibu and it overheats and the heat doesnt work now but the air does. do it need bleeding still , will air in the line still cause that problem...
because the engine in that car does not cool down
could be a bad fuse or ac relay, also if out off coolant ac clutch will not work,
Any HOAT coolant will work. Zerex G-05 coolant is good too. Don't use anything else.
yes it can go bad! check fuses and wiring first! usually its the ac clutch that does not work!! if low or out of coolant clutch will not recycle.
You may smell coolant when the ac is running but a leak in the heater core won't cause the ac not to work.
Chevy did not build a Malibu in 1995.
yes it will work.
try turning on the fan switch in the car
If a coolant leak were caused by brake work, I'd never have that person work on my brakes - ever. Just the brakes, I would think it highly unlikely that it would result in a coolant leak. If they were replacing the master cylinder, then I could see a possibility of someone inadvertently causing a coolant leak, but that would still even be a stretch.
