It could be a gas chamber full of pollution sufficating the human race, it could be a radioactive wasteland lying in ruin after a nuclear war, it could be one great super "Earthcity" and the population may have rocketed into the ten billions or even the trillions!! It could be any of these, or any other things that you may think of. You never know. The sun might supernova sooner then we think. The world might collapse under economic ruin. The choice of imagination is yours, anything is possible in a way. I like to imagine Earth has suffered a nuclear Holocaust and only a significantly tiny population of mankind has survived. Some lands will be moved, oceans will get bigger, and the environment will be various. It is really hard to predict right now.
