They will attract becuase oppsites attract. If something is positivley charge and the other this is negativley charged they will almost always attract. Hope I helped.
It is a negatively charged object
There exists and answer to this problem if you state the following: After the ball has been in presence of the negatively charged rod, the metal ball is either grounded or discharged by another conductor leaving the original metal ball with a positive charge, hence the name charging by induction.
This happens because the negative electrons on the duster move to the polythene rod. Despite this, the rod still has some positive electrons meaning it should be called an unbalanced negatively charged rod. Hope this helps XD
when you rub the plastic ruler on e.g. a yellow duster it takes the electrons (which is the negative charge) from the yellow duster and the plastic ruler becomes negatively charged. The paper has both protons and electrons the protons are positively charged. and very much like a magnet the negative is attracted to the positive hence the paper sticks to the ruler Hastings Tarrant
it is becuase when a glas rod charged by rubbing a cloth it aquires positive charge and when a plastic straw is charged by rubbing a cloth it aquires negative charge. Therefore a charged glass rod attracts a charged plastic rod.
It is during the developing phase of the laser printing process that toner is applied to the latent image on the drum. The toner is a negatively charged mixture of plastic and metal particles.
Plastic is a very good insulator. As such, if it come in contacts with another type of material, electrons may be added or removed from the insulator. When an object becomes positively or negatively charged, it may stick to other types of objects through electron interactions.
It's a rod made out of a certain type of plastic, i have most commonly seen them used in science lessons at high school, if you rub them against a piece of fur they will become negatively charged because electrons from the fur travel into the perspex rod. hope that helps. alice.
Plastic usually
when we rub the plastic scale against the hair it loses the electrons and whenever an object loses electrons it becomes positively charged .When this positively charged plastic scale brought nearer to paper pieces induces charge on it and electrons revolving in discrete orbits are attracted and nucleus is pushed back so that repulsion do not take place.
It creates friction which, in turn, creates static electricity therefore giving the plastic a positive charge.
Plastic is an insulator where as metal is a good conductor
