Imagine you have a glass with water and ice in it, the water rests level with the top of the glass, now if all that ice melted the glass would fill even more causing it to overflow... That, but on a world wide scale

∙ 12y agoThere will be no more ice. Therefore everybody's drinks will have to stay warm. There is no way of getting a chilled beverage for yourself as there is no ice to put in it.
From this development therefore there cannot be any ability to produce ice-cream, so you will have to live with out that.
Wow, we are 30 degrees away from such a cruel world :_(
All the ice would melt so the earth would be very hot (some people moght find that good)

∙ 6y agoAmong other things, it would raise the sea level slightly (it's sea-ice, and floating already) and cause further warming of the atmosphere. The further warming is due to the ice-albedo feedback, whereupon removing a highly reflective surface such as ice would replace it with a surface that would be much more likely to absorb radiation, thereby warming the earth further.
